Adjunct Faculty - Dental Hygiene Baccalaureate Program (DNTL 4050)Priority Application Date: March 28, 2025, open until filled. Anticipated Start Date: August 25, 2025 POSITION DESCRIPTION Taft College is seeking a pool of qualified candidates with demonstrated instructional skills to join an outstanding team of faculty and staff to provide high quality programs and services for our students. Teaching assignments may be temporary, part-time and/or on-call and may be immediate or as needed (as specified in Education Code 8748.25). We are seeking lecturers with the ability to teach in the above area for inclusion in a pool for the Fall 2025 semester. Note: Taft College is seeking an instructor for an asynchronous online lecture class for our baccalaureate completion program. Dental Hygiene (DNTL) 4050 Healthcare Management and Administration (3 units)Course description: An introduction to business management practices, finance, management, for oral health care programs and businesses. This course examines current societal and professional issues and their impact on dental hygiene business practices and employee management. The course cover connections in following areas: productivity, planning, legal and ethical issues affecting businesses in the oral health care sector, financial statements, personnel considerations and other challenges faced in the dental hygiene profession. QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The minimum qualifications for this adjunct lecturer pool can be met in one of the following ways:Master's in dental technology; ORA master's degree or equivalent in the discipline directly related to dental technology AND two years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment and any appropriate licensure; ORA bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in the discipline directly related to dental technology AND six years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment and any appropriate licensure; ORMaster's in business, business management, business administration, accountancy, finance, marketing or business education; ORBachelor's in any of the above AND Master's in economics, personnel management, public administration, or Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) or Legum Baccalaureus (LL.B.); ORBachelor's in economics with a business emphasis AND Master's in personnel management, public administration, or Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) or Legum Baccalaureus (LL.B.); ORthe equivalent.
