Excellent work life balance - never take work home with you!Primary FunctionPrimary responsible for negotiating and purchasing materials, supplies and equipment with vendors that have established contracts. Reduce/control costs to provide quality products/service and drive vendor performance.Obtains and analyzes bids in accordance with established policies and procedures.Initiate and maintain all purchase orders, blankets, contracts, and other related purchasing documents including the maintenance of the computer database.Review acknowledgements for agreement with purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies with the supplier to the best possible advantage for the company.Follow-up and expedite orders as necessary to meet schedules.Provide leadership in driving cost reductions and cost control measures with proper documentation.Use appropriate processes and procedures to support production activities and Quality System standards.Maintain high ethical standards and be professional in all areas of the Purchasing function.Perform other duties as assigned.RequirementsFour-year degree in Business, or equivalent education or experienceMinimum two (2) years' experience in direct purchasing functions or equivalent work experienceGood MRP/ERP experience.
