System Analyst - ClinicalIf you want to know about the requirements for this role, read on for all the relevant information.Primary Location: Chicago, IllinoisV-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a System Analyst - Clinical for our premier client in Chicago, Illinois.Education and Experience » Minimum 2-5 years' experience with Healthcare Information Systems is required. Implementation project management experience and hands on experience implementing vendor clinical application software, along with a strong desire to learn other technologies is required. Experience in the use of Client Server Clinical systems is preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities » Knowledge of Cerner Millennium PowerChart and PowerChart SurgiNet and Anesthesia. Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle. Project management and project management software skills.WHAT YOU'LL DO:Job Responsibilities: Utilizing Cerner Millennium PowerChart SurgiNet and Anesthesia the analyst will design, build and document application changes. Consult with end users on PowerChart SurgiNet and Anesthesia design and build changes. Tests software to detailed specifications. Trains less experienced personnel. Reports project activity and status to management. Attend applicable vendor clinical application classes. Identify, analyze, track and report on project issues. Evaluate and assist senior management in the implementation of system upgrades. Assist in the preparation of documentation and development of interface and conversion specifications. Identify and encourage user department procedural changes. Conduct workflow sessions with end users. Demonstrate system to users. Function as a project implementation manager for clinical system related projects. Assist in developing departmental education and training materials. Refine sample test plans for conversion, interfaces and applications. Assist in the development of a Live Event Plan. Provide post-live application support. Work with Project Management to obtain sign-offs. Complete assigned work plan tasks. Maintain tables, files, profiles, codes sets, etc. Provide after-hours support of clinical applications per schedule. Sets up, operates, and troubleshoots anesthesia machines, monitors, and ancillary devices. Responsible for repairs and maintenance of anesthesia equipment in the Main OR, ENDO, and Labor and Delivery suites. Understands, correctly uses, and trains Anesthesia Technicians on the various aseptic techniques used for routine cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing and storing of all reusable equipment and supplies.
