For almost two decades, our tools have played a critical part in changing how people around the world store and share photos with one another.Apply below after reading through all the details and supporting information regarding this job opportunity.Position Overview:Shutterfly is seeking a talented and driven Director of e-Commerce to support the Snapfish brand.The Director of e-Commerce is accountable for the overall management and performance of our online e-commerce site and app. In this role, your primary goal will be to leverage data and insights to drive the strategic growth and enhance our customers' shopping journey.Success will come by combining a passion for the customer experience, a deep understanding of what drives e-commerce sales, and a strong interest in our products. In collaboration with leaders across the platform, you will build an unparalleled shopping experience for customers shopping for photo personalized products.This is a fast-paced, highly cross-functional/collaborative role that requires rigorous prioritization and creative problem solving with significant impact.What You'll Do Here:Define the long-term site and app merchandising strategy across product categories and identify areas to improve site conversion based on a deep understanding of the customer, site metrics, industry best practices, brand, and business goals.Utilize dataand analytics(conversion, funnel, etc.)that provide decision support tobusiness and merchandising strategies to drive growth across categories. Use this data to support making both short- and long-term eCommerce changes.Adjust the site strategy based on customer feedback (both qualitative and quantitative), assessment of the competitive landscape (site merchandising strategies of key competitors and best-in-class online retailers) and emerging online trendsMonitor, meet and report on ecommerce KPI's (conversion, bounce/exit, cart abandon, RPV, brand/category revenue, etc.) across devices, pages, and customer segments, and be able to explain the business drivers behind fluctuations in these metrics. Lead monthly/quarterly business reviews for the site(s)Oversee the creative development process (creative briefs, creative reviews, shot lists) across all devices/platforms for owned pages on the site; provide feedback at creative reviews on creative/copy that does/does not meet business goals; provide direction for prioritization of site projects for creativeWork closely with the Product and Merchandising teams on developing the visual merchandising strategy for defined category. Review key page/category metrics (conversion, exit, revenue, trim attach & revenue, ABN usage, etc.) to continuously optimize the strategy for visual merchandising.Contribute ideas for testing based on analysis of site data. Drive innovation and optimization through testing and application of eCommerce best practices. Support testing by leading the merchandising strategy for the testStrategy: Develop and execute a holistic ecommerce roadmap aligned with company priorities, that aligns with our brand and our consumer to drive profitable growth and maximize conversion.Platform: Own all aspects of Shutterfly's e-Commerce experience on web and app including the shopping experience, site content and digital merchandising, product discovery and navigation, and conversion optimizationConversion Rate Optimization: Develop and execute a prioritized testing roadmap, with a defined testing cycle and delivery of bankable conversion improvementsMarketing: Collaborate closely with Marketing and Creative teams to optimize the full funnel website experience from acquisition to retention and identify areas for improvementTeam Management: Lead site merchandising team, and collaborate closely with key cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Merchandising, Creative, MarketingThe Skills You'll Bring:8+ years of experience in ecommerce, digital product, and/or growth hackingExperience with online consumer shopping behaviors in the direct-to-consumer space.Prior product management experience a plusHighly analytical with expertise in using platforms like Adobe Analytics, AB testing platforms and BI solutions such as Power BI. Knows how to use data to drive actionable decisionsAbility to set the high level long-term strategic vision and distill it down into actionable priorities and trackable KPIsStrong self-starter with experience working with a remote staff and fast-paced environment. Ability to think around corners and innovate solutionsYour success will be because you are/have...A proven subject matter expertise (12+ years) in the commerce space - including a broad understanding of digital commerce and CX, merchandising, marketing, and site operations. You have a demonstrated understanding of what it takes to run a digital commerce business, from site merchandising to content management, and experience engaging in the digital product development space, from design and engineering to user research and site performance optimizationAbility to set the high level long-term strategic vision and distill it down into actionable priorities and trackable KPIs and make decisions that propel long-term growth and strategyStrong self-starter with experience working with a remote staff and fast-paced environment.
