BioLegend interns are known for their passion, creativity, and ability to make meaningful contributions to the company.The program will run June 2 -September 13 (depending on individual's University Academic Calendar).**All selected interns will be required to obtain their own housing, travel, and transportation accommodations for the full duration of the internship program.If you're ready to be part of a forward-thinking team and take your career to the next level, we can't wait to welcome you to BioLegend's next internship for Summer 2025!Internship Department Details: Department Name: MCBio Business Function: Recombinant Protein ManufacturingThis is a part-time internship position; up to 20 hours per week.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Learn aseptic skills and conduct bacteria culture, protein expression and data analysis for batch qualification.Participate in various manufacturing techniques, such as buffer preparation, clarification and dialysis, protein refolding, purification, concentration, and lyophilization.Learn industry hands-on experience and implement manufacturing activities by following standard operation procedures (SOP) and good documentation practice.Collaborate in cross-department material transfer and inventory control.Other projects or responsibilities as may be required.Minimum QualificationsCurrently enrolled or in process of completing a BS/BA degree in life sciences related programMust be a currently enrolled student at an accredited college or university with an expected graduation date of December 2025 or laterPreferred Qualifications:General training in chemistry or biology wet-lab workBasic knowledge of biology, biochemistry or chemistryEffective communication skillsExcellent time management skillsWork Environment & Physical DemandsLabWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory environment with occasional data entry on a computer. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear.The base salary range for the Summer Internship position is:a. $22.00/hr - Sophomore/Freshman standing (Class of 2028/2029)b. $23.00/hr - Junior standing (Class of 2027)c. $24.00/hr - Senior Standing (Completing December 2025/Class of 2026)d. $25.00 - $26.00/hr - current Master's student (already has B.S. degree)This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
