Duration: Full Time Permanent The System Architect will design, analyze, and maintain the IT infrastructure of NS3's network, ensuring the optimal performance, security, and integration of network-related hardware and software. This role involves overseeing the implementation of network solutions, troubleshooting issues, and supporting the design and architecture of current and future network systems. The architect will collaborate with technical teams and vendors to ensure the network meets business objectives and aligns with long-term strategic goals. Key Responsibilities: Network Design & Architecture: Develop and maintain the to-be architecture of NS3's network topology, addressing both current and future requirements. Propose and implement new networking solutions to support business objectives. Oversee installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of networking hardware. Design, configure, and deploy network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS). Network Administration & Support: Perform network administration duties including installations, upgrades, debugging, and general support for network infrastructure. Evaluate, test, and deploy hardware and software upgrades to the networking infrastructure. Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure high availability and minimize downtime. Implement proactive monitoring of network devices, services, and servers, using appropriate tools to meet service level agreements (SLAs). Documentation & Reporting: Maintain network drawings and design documentation. Provide regular reports on network status, including maintenance updates, outages, and security vulnerabilities. Offer mitigation and remediation recommendations for security vulnerabilities affecting administered devices. Strategic Planning & Recommendations: Analyze network utilization data for capacity planning and propose solutions to optimize network performance. Make long-term strategic recommendations to improve the health and scalability of the NS3 network. Interface with vendors for procurement and maintenance of IT infrastructure, ensuring solutions meet current and projected demands. Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with technical teams to provide end-user support and issue resolution. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating them into the network design as applicable. Train team members on network administration best practices and tools. Disaster Recovery & Security: Assist in developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining disaster recovery architectural plans. Ensure the security posture of the network is maintained while troubleshooting and resolving issues. Deliverables: Maintenance Report: Status of administered devices, including updates, patches, configuration changes, and security vulnerabilities. Outage/Impact Report: Documentation of network outages and their impact on operations. Mitigation/Remediation Recommendations: Email providing recommendations to mitigate/remediate security vulnerabilities. Other Reports & Documentation: Additional documentation and reports as required by the task. Security and Clearance: Required: Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access. Certifications: Must hold Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) or equivalent certification. Experience and Education Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 10 years of related experience. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related technical field (preferred).
