IT Senior Project Manager (W2 only)

A client of Sharp Decisions Inc. is looking for an IT Senior Project Manager to be based in Torrence, CA. The position is HYBRID (3 days a week onsite). The contract duration is 24 months with possible extension. *W2 only.Check all associated application documentation thoroughly before clicking on the apply button at the bottom of this description.JOB DESCRIPTION:Delivery of Enterprise-wide digital transformation projects involving a large set of stake-holders & dependencies1) Manage Assigned Projects & Enhancements to new or existing systemsFollow client's SDLC methodology (Agile/Waterfall) and deliverablesManage project plan, staff tasks and progress & report statusCoordinate, schedule and chair meetings with multiple stakeholders & distribute meeting minutesMaintain Quality, Cost & Delivery aspects of the projectManage project forecasts, budget, variance etc. and ensure project is on trackCreate presentation & communication material relevant to a variety of stakeholders including business & IT Leadership2) System Analysis for Assigned Projects & Enhancements to new or existing systems following client's SDLC methodology (Agile & Waterfall) and creating deliverables (scope doc/functional specs, etc.)Workshop facilitation (e.g. JAD Sessions), data analysis, business process and workflow analysis/documentationGather, refine, and validate complex business requirements and combine into a clear and prioritized backlog.3) Collaborate with Product Owners and multiple product teams with varying levels of Agile maturity to define product goals backlogs and roadmaps leading to successful deliveryTeam coordination: Ensure teams operate with agreed team cadence. Provide support to help teams reflect learn and improve on their Agile practiceDependency coordination: Work with teams to identify and manage interactive dependencies within a complex systems environmentTrack and manage team Visual Management Boards: Help teams to maintain their team data and collateral; keeping relevant over time to changing needs of the businessContinuous improvement: Provide mentoring support to Product Owners and team members to refine their understanding of Agile practicesWork with the teams to identify and mitigate impediments and risks to the programWhat will this person be working on:Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the IT community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectationsResponsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality reviews; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriatelyResponsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resourcesCoordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managedManages one or more crossfunctional projects of high complexityResponsible for the management of one or more medium to largesized, moderately to highly complex projects.REQUIRED1) Experience delivering projects with Waterfall & Agile Delivery models.2) Ability to perform multiple roles (Scrum Master, Project Manager & Business Analysis)3) Clear communication skills and ability to communicate and negotiate with stakeholders4) Ability to collaborate well with a diverse set of team members (team player)5) Strong Technical background to clearly understand complex business requirements and benefits of assigned projects6) Ability to innovate and multi-task with minimal oversight7) Experience delivering enterprise digital platforms or services that involve complex data, transactions or integrations8) Experience working with enterprise organizations such as Enterprise Architecture, Risk & Compliance, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Legal, Procurement, etc.9) Budget Management & Forecasting10) Experience delivering projects using Agile at Scale (SAFE framework) for deliveryPREFERRED 1) Automotive industry background, business acumen & understanding of OEM-Dealer eco-system 22) Understanding of Salesforce ecosystem/family of Products3) Experience with Jira/Confluence tools to manage project artifacts, delivery & support operationsNICE TO HAVE1) Scrum Master or SAFE CertificationAcademic/Experience/CompetencyBachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience.Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is preferred.7 to 10 years of IT work experience5 years managing projectsAdvanced ability to oversee and manage large, complex, diverse and strategic projects that impact the organization as a wholeAdvanced understanding and ability to manage complex program and project budgetsAdvanced ability in implementing program and project plans, monitoring progress, resource usage and qualityAdvanced knowledge in conducting risk assessments and developing plans for eliminating or mitigating the risks identifiedAdvanced understanding of multiple project management disciplines
