Director, Strategy & Corporate Development (Overtime Sports, Inc., Brooklyn, NY): Evaluating acquisition and investment opportunities to ascertain potential value, future prospects, and overall fit between a prospect and the company's objectives for growth and financial planning; Participating in corporate strategic planning activities, including partnering with internal teams to professionalize roadmaps and to provide investment/growth-focused insight and analysis; Collaborating cross-functionally with department leads on identifying growth opportunities, lead in synthesizing, preparing and presenting memos, and describing strategic rationales to executive leadership; Leading industry and business level due diligence operations, including performing detailed evaluation of prospects and identifying potential issues or areas of concern, as well as soliciting and evaluating input from other stakeholders or sources; Identifying trends and developments in the industry that may impact strategic operations, and providing informed points of view to leadership; Performing financial and valuation modeling for specific opportunities and recommending courses of action; Supporting the CFO in investor relations activities, ensuring investors are informed on key financial/growth points, and ensuring the company is effectively represented; Acting as an extension to the CFO in strategic ad-hoc projects; Overseeing confirmatory accounting, tax and legal due diligence where necessary. Must have experience with the following in order to complete the above-mentioned tasks: Experience in investment banking and/or private equity; Experience in business operations and strategy; Knowledge of GAAP and experience with accounting and financial reporting; Experience with P&L ownership and responsibility for growth and profitability initiatives; Experience with financial and operational analysis; Experience with relationship building with external partners, including negotiating key deal terms; Experience with investment analysis and recommendation; Experience with M&A diligence and execution; Fundraising preparation and execution experience; Demonstrated understanding of business trends in the sports, media and entertainment space; Experience in cross-functional stakeholder management across ops, finance, legal, sales, account management, and business development functions; Demonstrated understanding of and familiarity with contract terms and legal issues; Knowledge of financial analysis and financial modeling. Demonstrated understanding of business trends in sports & media space. Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Commerce, Business or a closely related field, and at least one year of experience in strategy and investment banking or related occupation.
