Job Title: Thermal Hydraulic Test Engineer (Year-Long Contract)All the relevant skills, qualifications and experience that a successful applicant will need are listed in the following description. Location: Hybrid, Bellevue, WA System One is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Thermal Hydraulic Test Engineer for a year-long hybrid position in Bellevue, WA. The Test Engineer will be responsible for reviewing test requirements, designing tests, executing them, and preparing detailed reports. This position will require collaboration with both internal and external customers to ensure testing is conducted to meet all requirements and is completed in a timely manner. The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic team of engineers and technicians. Responsibilities: Assist in drafting test requirements and defining test objectives. Author detailed test design documents, test procedures, test reports, and other supporting documents. Assist with data analysis and generate comprehensive test reports. Collaborate with Senior Test Engineers to support the coordination of testing activities, including setup and commissioning of experimental equipment. Support continuous learning and application of nuclear industry best practices to maintain the highest engineering quality standards. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and enhancements related to testing activities. Key Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in applicable field of Engineering Greater than three (3) years of relevant experience in a testing / research and development environment preferred. Experience working in a laboratory environment. Experience with post-processing and documenting experiments. Experience with multiple types of testing (R&D, Acceptance, Validation, Qualification) Molten metallic sodium experience - preferred Molten salt experience - preferred Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists in a research environment. Ability to handle projects that include multiple objectives and ability to resolve conflicts between objectives. Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently during a given work week. Excellent writing and communication skills. Safety conscience. Ability to work with minimum direction to solve challenging research and development problems. The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trustworthiness and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork This is a year-long hybrid contract position based in Bellevue, WA, with a flexible work arrangement.
