PART TIME TECHNOLOGY TRAINER FOR OLDER ADULTS - DENVER, CODo you have the following skills, experience and drive to succeed in this role Find out below.Our client, a major non-profit association that helps older adults use technology, is seeking a Technology Trainer for a 3-month part-time (30 hours per week) contract position in Denver, CO. This position is a unique opportunity for a passionate individual to empower older adults by helping them thrive in the digital world and harness technology to achieve their personal goals. Trainers teach the organization's curriculum using books and online resources specifically designed for older adults. Virtual programs are primarily one-off sessions focused on different technology topics. Trainer schedules will vary each quarter. Trainers guide participants in sending emails, exploring their interests online, connecting with family and friends on social media, banking online, starting small businesses, and much more. In person classes typically meet twice a week for ten weeks. You will need to be available 5 days a week for 6 hours a day. Responsibilities:• Teach technology courses virtually and in-person using the organization's curriculum and approach.• Create a comfortable and supportive learning environment.• Offer personalized support to callers on the organization's hotlines.• Make outbound calls to the organization's members• Represent and promote the organization's culture and opportunities to course participants.• Engage in regular communication with the organization's staff, including feedback on site issues, curriculum, etc.• Coordinate with site staff, including site visits, graduations, etc.• Collect surveys and evaluations.• Enter data into Salesforce database.• Participate in trainer meetings and other training events• Recruiting participants, as needed.• Participate in special projects, as needed (ex. outreach, curriculum, etc.).• Supervise volunteers who assist classes.• Technology Trainers possess a moderate degree of autonomy and independent judgment, especially in relationship to programs they're assigned to teach and deliver. Technology trainers set the tone, manage the environment, and help guide groups of all sizes towards learning objectives.Qualifications:• Solid proficiency in common software applications and devices and the ability to effectively communicate the relevance of technology to seniors' lives.• Excellent speaking and communication skills.• Ability to communicate technical information clearly in English.• Experience teaching teenagers, adults, and/or seniors, preferable.• Proficiency with Windows computers, iOS, popular social media sites, and other common technologies/devices.• Comfortable traveling to various senior/community centers.• Minimum of 1 years' experience in a professional work setting
