AMFM Healthcare is looking for a skilled Medical Coordinator to join our team! The Medical Coordinator provides clerical and administrative support to the nursing department and Executive Directors by handling a variety of tasks in order to ensure that all interactions between the organization and others are positive and productive. They report to the Nursing Supervisor but assist in many duties in order to maintain smooth operation of the organization as a whole which include, but are not limited to, triaging client calls to licensed personnel, greeting clients in a courteous and professional manner, notifying clients of upcoming appointments, maintaining an organized nursing station while monitoring for noise levels to ensure workflow, pharmacy ordering, chart auditing, documentation submission.Are you ready to apply Make sure you understand all the responsibilities and tasks associated with this role before proceeding.ABOUT USAfter the tragic loss of a beloved son due to mental illness, A Mission for Michael (AMFM Healthcare) was created with the vision of preventing such hopelessness in the lives of others. Other benefits include: 401k plan with employer match.PTO, Self Care Day, and Floating Holiday.Educational Assistance Reimbursement Program.Employee Assistance Program.Health and Wellness Membership.QUALIFICATIONS:Must be 21 years of age or olderSuccessful completion of the ADP Selective Screening Services background check as well as any other state, federal or company required background/record check.Education/Experience Requirements: Associate's degree in medical coordination or related field OR High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years of experience in a related field.1+ years of administrative experience.Possess valid driver's license with ability to be insured by our auto insurance policy which includes, but not limited to, the following requirements: 4 continuous years of driving experience, 21 years of age or older, less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, and no more than 1 major violation in the last 3 years.CPR/First Aid CertificationCurrent T.B. clearancePhysical Requirements: Ability to work on a computer/keyboard, use electronic systems, communicate with others through written and verbal formats, ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time, ability to climb stairs, listening, reading comprehension, lifting up to 20 lbs.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function assigned satisfactorily. Knowledge of the clinical, medical, and miscellaneous services provided to the clients.Ability to use computer software including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, EMR (Best Notes) and G Suite products.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Willingness to interact with persons of various social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds with sensitivity.Ability to prioritize projects, multi-task, and meet deadlines with strong organizational skills.Responsibilities:The Medical Coordinator will be responsible for all the following, and additional duties may be removed or assigned as needed. These include but are not limited to:Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the nursing department, including coordinating communication amongst the nursing staff, external pharmacies and providers, and offering general administrative support.Assist a healthcare team of various medical practitioners and medical support staff in obtaining medications and coordinating internal and external medical appointments.Organize meetings and manage databases as required, including chart auditing to maintain compliance.Booking transport and accommodation as requested.Run the Nursing Purchasing order system, liaising with supervisors as needed to approve purchases.Prepare letters, presentations and reports for nursing as needed and complete all medical paperwork for clients, including but not limited to disability and FMLA requests.Liaise with staff, suppliers and clients to complete initial intake assessments as needed by nursing.Implement and maintain intake procedures and office administrative systems.Provide general support to nursing while ensuring HIPAA compliance standards are met, and enforcing company policies as needed.Answers nursing phone lines, directs calls appropriately, makes appointments, keeps records, and/or performs all other clerical duties that include pharmacy ordering, file orders, report, and inputting patient related information into charts timely.AMFM Healthcare is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, color, sex (including childbirth, breast feeding and related medical conditions), gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, uniform service member and veteran status, marital status, pregnancy, age, protected medical condition, genetic information, disability, or any other protected status in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws.
