We believe that because people matter, health and wellness should matter.Hit Apply below to send your application for consideration Ensure that your CV is up to date, and that you have read the job specs first.This position is in our Natural Formulas Manufacturing Division which is located in Hayward, California.POSITION SUMMARY:Purchase herbal products, cleaner products, personal care and related packaging components, nutritional products and miscellaneous components. Coordinate Product manufacturing and packaging at outside manufacturers.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Research and collaborate with various departments in the qualification of products, components, and outside contract manufacturers.Interviews and negotiates with vendors and contract manufacturers for the best source of materials and finished goods considering quality, delivery, reliability, cost, payment terms and conformance to specifications.Gathers forecast data and prepares batch size analysis reports. Works with Manager to interpret then decide on quantity splits.Prepares and issues purchase orders and change orders.Coordinates production at outside contract manufacturers. Ensures components are shipped complete and in a timely manner.Follows up on critical purchase orders to secure improved delivery.Establish and maintain effective working relationship with vendors and customers; interpret specifications and analyze bids.Updates and maintains purchasing data in ERP system.Monitors vendor rejections and advises vendors of reason for rejection.Reviews market trends of materials in assigned areas for price changes and critical changes in supply and demand, keeping concerned departments informed of significant trends.Interfaces with Accounting and Receiving in the proper and timely administration of purchase orders, ensuring timely payment of supplier's invoices.Searches out and participates in qualification of new 3 rd Party Contract Manufacturers.Project coordination with 3 rd Party Contract Manufacturers to bring new products to market.Travel required, on an as-needed basis.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experienced with ERP/MRP systems required.Experience working with an FDA regulated facility.Experience working in a manufacturing environment.Experience and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) preferred.Sense of urgency, well organized and self-managed.Excellent communication, both verbal and written skills.Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with commitment to teamwork and collaboration.Excellent negotiation skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).To apply:Please submit your resume and salary requirements for consideration.
