If you're ready to work at the forefront of differentiated power technologies, this is your opportunity to make an impact in a fast-paced, high-tech environment!Job Summary:The Senior Cost Accountant supports the finance department by performing general accounting, sales incentive and commission reporting, financial consolidation and reporting, as well as various other accounting functions. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with activities related to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close. The Senior Accountant will work across all levels of the organization. Key Responsibilities: Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements as well as supporting documentationAssist with the month end closing processAudit support (SOX, Financial, Tax)Prepare and load international forecast and actual financial data into HFMLead annual fixed asset physical inventoryCalculate and report KPI's for: DSO, Days Payable, Entitlement Days, CAPEX spend, and inventory turnsForecast key financial metricsRevenue recognition and compliance with ASC606Corporate intercompany balancingReconcile and analyze assigned general ledger accounts consistent with GAAP and corporate accounting policies to ensure close timelines are metMaintain fixed asset ledger, including timely capitalization and tracking of open projectsParticipate in annual budget processReview and submit sales rep commissions for paymentPrepare corporate year-end packages including statutory reports, and provide comprehensive year-end Federal and State Tax packagesReporting activities in HFM including forecast and actualsMinimum Qualifications: 5 years' experience in a finance or accounting roleBA with emphasis in Accounting or FinanceDesired Qualifications: Knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606 Revenue RecognitionManufacturing experienceExperience with HFMExperience with an integrated ERPExpertise in MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas) Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent analytical skillsWhat's in It for You: Competitive compensation, holiday pay, and paid time off Great benefits package that includes health, vision, and dental insurance401(k), plus matchingFlexible spending accounts (FSAs), health savings account (HSA) with AMETEK contribution, life insurance, disability insurance, and family medical leaveEmployee referral programTuition reimbursement programEmployee assistance programExciting, fast-paced environment where you could make a true impactOpportunities for career advancement within our business unit and across all other AMETEK business entitiesAdditional Details:This role is based in San Diego, California, a city renowned for its idyllic blend of sun, sea, and vibrant culture. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
