The position will lead a technology team leveraging Workday products that cross human resources, payroll,finance, payroll, and student. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Workday based on current priorities and assist inidentifying ongoing strategic enhancements. The Associate Director will work collaboratively with leaders across the university identifying andmanaging the Workday business needs, developing solutions to assist them in meeting their strategic and operational goals. Essential FunctionsManage, process, and troubleshoot Workday functions and transactions for HCM, Finance, Payroll and Student platforms. Troubleshoot complex system errors and collaborate with teams to implement solutions. Maintain knowledge of Workday releases, product enhancements, and best practices and communicate knowledge with appropriate campus team members, offering insights and recommendations to streamline Workday cross-application processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance the user experience.Lead a team of technology professionals to accomplish desired functional results and outcomes. Recommend for hire appropriate staff resources to achieve technology objectives. Perform annual evaluations, recommend training, performance improvement, and/or disciplinary actions as appropriate. Plan, supervise and manage activities related to the assignment and coordination. Provide guidance and leadership to technical team members to maximize the benefits of Workday in solving problems and enhancing operations.Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for Workday solutions. Evaluate different solution options, identifying potential challenges, and using logic to design the most effective and efficient systems. Deliver work with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and to the highest standard. Focus on quality control and error-free outcomes. Teach, train and showcase analytical skills and best practices to team members.Work closely with the director of Enterprise Applications to facilitate prioritization of work, governance committees, and overall management of the University's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Support the University's technology leadership team in the development and implemention of planned strategic goals.Keep projects on track, within scope, and within budget while achieving desired outcomes. Develop and implement change management strategies to support organizational transformation and the successful adoption of new processes and technologies. Produce comprehensive process documentation to ensure smooth implementation and ongoing operation.Education RequiredBachelor's degree in Information Systems or related fieldEducation PreferredMaster's degree in Information Systems or related fieldWork Experience5 - 8 yearsDescribe Required Experience5 - 8 years of experience managing, processing, and troubleshooting Workday functions and transactions for HCM, Finance, Payroll. Able to troubleshoot complex system errors and collaborate with teams to implement solutions.Required Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAnalytical skills with ability to used logic and reasoning to solve Workday issues. Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills. Work independently as well as closely with peers. Handle multiple simultaneous requests, tasks, and initiative in a regularly changing environment. Attention to detail emphasizing quality and accuracy. Workday knowledge regarding business process, security, reporting, integrations, management of tenants. Strong management skills with the ability to successfully hire, train, support, and supervise direct reports to accomplish department goals. Communicate well and articulate ideas clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats.
