Role: Loan Documentation Processor Contract duration: 6 months + possible extension Client: Banking Location: Des Moines, IA 50309 (fully onsite) Job description: The Loan Documentation Processor 2 role within the Loan Manufacturing Team at the Bank is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of loan applications. Acting as a key liaison between loan officers and underwriters, this role is responsible for collecting, verifying, and submitting loan documentation while maintaining accuracy and compliance. The position supports the overall loan manufacturing process by reducing processing delays, ensuring quality control, and facilitating effective communication between key stakeholders. Responsibilities: Document Collection & Submission: Work closely with loan officers to gather required loan documents and submit them to underwriters for approval. Quality Control & Compliance: Review loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal policies and regulatory guidelines. Communication & Coordination: Serve as the middle-man between loan officers and underwriters, ensuring timely resolution of documentation issues and responding to inquiries. Data Verification: Validate borrower information, loan terms, and other critical details in internal systems. Process Monitoring: Track the status of loan files and provide updates to loan officers and underwriters to ensure smooth workflow. Adaptability to Hybrid Work Model: Work on-site one week and remotely the next after completing training. Must Haves: 1+ years of experience in mortgage, financial services, or a related field. Previous experience in loan documentation review preferred. Technical Skills: Familiarity with loan processing systems and document management platforms. Proficiency in Ms Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills to identify inconsistencies or errors in loan documentation. Communication & Collaboration: Excellent professional oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively partner with loan officers and underwriters to facilitate a smooth loan review process. Remote Work & Adaptability: Previous experience with remote learning or virtual collaboration. Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment.
