Job Title: Site ManagerApply (by clicking the relevant button) after checking through all the related job information below.Job Location: Aurora, Illinois 60502Onsite Requirements:Experience with LMR communication systemsSite management or construction management experienceTelecom/Cellular/Wireless site management Job Description:Assist the project manager with planning and coordinating the installation, testing, and acceptance of a new Land Mobile Radio (LMR) system for the WISCOM project in Wisconsin.Report directly to the project manager and act as the local, day-to-day point of contact for WISCOM.Conduct project activities in accordance with the contract, within defined scope, ensure high-quality work, meet schedule requirements, and operate within cost constraints. Key Responsibilities:Maintain regular communication and coordination of efforts with the project manager and project teams, including:Be physically present at the customer office/designated site at least four (4) days a week on a regular basis to represent the client.Ability to manage multiple sites across the region with qualified site managers.Daily/weekly informal project updates via email or voice communications.Monthly project status report to the project manager (Project Status Report form attached).Identify, manage, and mitigate risk, and be proactive to identify and correct anticipated problems (Risk Management form attached).Review and provide input regarding the suitability of the project schedule.Maintain quality control procedures and practices per the Quality Assurance Plan.Communicate safety plans and schedule safety meetings with the project team, subcontractors, and WISCOM.Monitor and help secure all Federal, State, and Local permits and licenses needed for site construction to ensure timely inspections are occurring, and any deficiencies noted by inspectors are brought to the attention of subcontractors and the project manager for immediate resolution.Ensure safety to public, site visitors, and staff on site, ensuring that preventative measures are taken, including personal protection, following safety instructions, and following all aspects of the health and safety protocol for the site.Hold internal team progress meetings.Hold internal issue resolution meetings.Coordinate on-site project documentation, including the capture of information that will become part of final documentation submittal.Obtain a photographic survey and record of all key site operations and work, delivered to the project manager.Provide on-site supervision of the installation teams, and coordinate work among installers, subcontractors, and WISCOM organizations associated with the project.Provide technical support and guidance to subcontractors, as needed.Inspect and ensure that all materials used by subcontractors are compliant with industry and client standards.Inspect installed work for compliance with the architectural and structural site drawings and specifications. Supervise and manage all site-based personnel, overseeing all aspects of their work, including:Carrying out safety inductions, toolbox talks.Controlling quality of work.Ensuring cleanliness and tidiness.Proper use of plant and tools.Use of personal protection equipment.Review and comment on invoices submitted by subcontractors for work performed.Work with designated engineers and engineering firms responsible for site drawings and review work to ensure all drawings accurately reflect agreed-upon site layouts, construction drawings, and final as-built documentation.Attend site visits with subcontractors, as needed.Supervise site receipt and inventory of shipments, along with tracking and coordination of project materials and equipment with local WISCOM teams.Assist the project team with final systems tests and acceptance to expedite timely completion and commissioning.Assist with any site construction, electrical, zoning, or other permits as advised by Program Manager.Coordinate any required customer-provided training.Coordinate radio installation and distribution of radios with WISCOM designated representatives.In partnership with WISCOM, develop detailed project install and implementation schedules.Maintain project records and files. Requirements:At least 10 years of combined experience in the installation of LMR communication systems, ideally on-site construction and project management.Candidates with Telecom/Cellular/Wireless site management and construction experience will be considered.Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.Proficient in MS Project, Word, and Excel.Understanding of National Electric Code (NEC) requirements.Experience in oversight of Tower, Shelter, Grounding systems, Generator, UPS, Primary AC Power, DC Power, and Antenna/Coax installation.** 3rd party and subcontract staffing agencies are not eligible for partnership on this position. 3rd party subcontractors need not apply.
