The incumbent performs the more complex design and construction of park and recreation improvement projects, reviews development projects for design conformance and accuracy and performs complex professional planning assignments requiring considerable knowledge of land development, planning, design standards and regulations, construction and maintenance. This classification is distinguished from the higher-level classification of Director of Parks and Community Services in that the Director has overall responsibility for management of the Parks and Community Services Department.Minimum Qualifications Must possess three (3) years of full-time work experience in construction management and capital project managementMust possess one (1) year of supervisory experienceBachelor's Degree in landscape architecture, civil engineering, construction management, or a closely relate fieldPossession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid class C California driver's license Additional InformationOnly those applicants who meet the qualification standards of this position by the application filing deadline will be allowed to participate in the examination process. Examination scores determine standing on Civil Service eligibility lists. The City Manager, upon recommendation of the department head, will make the final selection and appointment from the established eligibility list.
