The incumbent is responsible for the design, execution, and effectiveness of a system of internal controls which provides reasonable assurance that department operations are comprehensive, effective and efficient; consistent with a community policing philosophy; college facilities and assets are safeguarded; and the department is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. The position serves as an institutional leader in identifying, translating, and applying best practices in public safety, emergency response, and crisis intervention to serve the unique needs, culture, and environment of The Evergreen State College.This is a full-time, overtime exempt position on the Olympia campus of The Evergreen State College. This position is an "at-will" appointment, exempt from Washington State Civil Service rules and the Fair Labor Standards Act overtime requirements.
