General Expectations:Find out more about the daily tasks, overall responsibilities, and required experience for this opportunity by scrolling down now.Continuously improve through education, professional training, and certification.Represent the company in a manner that aligns with our mission statement.Train adequate backup personnel to support your role in your absence.Treat colleagues and clients with respect.Communicate with honesty, openness, and transparency.Act with integrity (honor your commitments), set an example, and be accountable.Specific Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Possess in-depth understanding and ability to analyze and design according to current design codes, criteria, and structural mechanics.Design permanent structures such as bridges, sign foundations, moment slabs, MSE walls, etc.Design temporary structures including, but not limited to:Formwork/Falsework DesignErection, Demolition, and Heavy Lift PlanningSupport of Excavation SystemsLoad Rating and Evaluation of Existing StructuresTemporary Bridges and Work TrestlesFall Protection SystemsBarge AnalysisProvide on-site design engineering support and inspections.Coordinate with Project Managers/Engineers and Owners to resolve issues.Identify and assist with the preparation of value engineering proposals.Assist with material and shop drawing submittals.Support the Project Manager with project log updates and maintenance.Assist with surveying calculations and plans.Implement new software (3D CAD, DatuBIM, etc.).Position Requirements:Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree or higher in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university (Master's Degree preferred).GPA above 3.0 is preferred.2+ years of relevant engineering experience.Experience with permanent and temporary structures and/or construction engineering is preferred, but not required.PE licensure or ability to obtain it once experience/testing requirements are met.Strong understanding of constructability and academic knowledge of structural engineering.Experience with engineering design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, RISA-3D, MathCAD, SkyCiv, etc.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised.Team player who is self-motivated to succeed.Legally authorized to work in the United States.THIS IS NOT A CONTRACTUAL OFFER
