Exciting Opportunity in Paper Production for a Safety Manager!A variety of soft skills and experience may be required for the following role Please ensure you check the overview below carefully.Our client is seeking a Safety Manager to join their team in the Bergen County, NJ area.Collaborate with facility management to oversee Safety functions offering technical support and guidance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Provide safety training and coaching to Operations, Maintenance, Production Managers and Mill Manager. Conduct inspections on all equipment and work surfaces and report on deficiencies. Maintain records to ensure compliance with environmental regulations including storm water, waste disposal, and air emissions to include tracking compliance with OSHA. Conduct root cause analysis reporting for safety projects and any recordable injuries.Requirements:· Bachelor's degree in safety or environmental management or related field, or a combination of formal education and experience.· 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar safety role.· Experience working in a manufacturing environment.· Experience working with environmental regulations.· Expertise in safety systems and OSHA regulations.
