Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Duties and Tasks:Basic material knowledgeMay operate light-duty bench or floor machine tools and equipmentWorks from basic drawings, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, whichmay include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensionsSets up machines and makes adjustments, and performs maintenance on machinesChecks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerancesMonitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process or other controlproceduresInterfaces with employees and managers within the departmentWorks under supervision and instructions given for routine work, and detailed instructionsgiven for new activities or special assignments Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to read and follow instructions including Engineering and CAD drawingsBasic interpersonal skills to cooperate and work effectively with othersBasic communication skills, both verbal and writtenBasic computer skillsBasic organizational skillsAble to use mechanical hand and simple power toolsEqual Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled* While an hourly range is posted for this position, an eventual hourly rate is determined by a comprehensive salary analysis which considers multiple factors including but not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills and qualifications, education and experience as compared to others in the organization doing substantially similar work, if applicable, and market and business considerations.
