SUMMARYApplying for this role is straight forward Scroll down and click on Apply to be considered for this position.The Camp Operations Lead is primarily responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational needs of Hands-on Science camp, including purchasing and coordinating camp supplies, administrative duties, and program support.QUALIFICATIONSCollege courses in science and/ or education preferred.1 to 2 years experience teaching or working with the public in a classroom and an informal educational/public setting is preferred.Administrative and clerical experience, including producing correspondence and documents.Strong computer skills with relevant software applications.Excellent customer service skills and team player.Excellent verbal and written (spelling, punctuation & grammar) communication skills.Must be organized and able to maintain a clean work environment.Effective interpersonal skills with diverse audiences.Proven experience in information and communication management (ability to communicate with and disperse information to staff and parents).Physical ability to lift, move, and organize supplies weighing up to 50 lbs.Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods.Ability to work flexibly, including holidays, weekends, and evenings.Bilingual fluency in Spanish, Chinese, or Korean desired.MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Support the Manager of Camp and Special Programs with day-to-day operations.Assist in the preparation and delivery of educational summer camp programs.Assists in purchasing, organizing and sorting consumable and non-consumable supplies for camp programs.Assists in daily administrative and operational tasks.Assists with the implementation and maintenance of office systems.Oversee the safety and supervision of the play area, ensuring all activities are properly monitored and that campers are following rules.Handles customer service duties, including in-person or over-the-phone inquiries, and handles them appropriately.Research and monitor stores that deliver supplies to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.Research products and activities for use in classroom activities.Handles office space in an organized and clean manner.Develop hands-on science lessons for camp programs.Assist in the training and development of summer camp interns.Performs other duties as required.
