The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing mainframe applications running on z/OS environments. You will work closely with developers, system administrators, and security teams to ensure application availability, security, and performance.Key Responsibilities: Provide Level 2/3 application support for mainframe applications utilizing CICS and RACF. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application performance and security issues. Configure, tune, and optimize CICS regions, transactions, and resource definitions. Manage RACF security administration, including user access, profiles, and permissions. Perform incident management and root cause analysis for application issues. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth system operations. Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and best practices. Assist with software upgrades, patches, and migrations. Support batch job execution and resolve job failures. Ensure compliance with security and audit requirements related to mainframe applications.Required Skills & Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in Mainframe Application Support. Strong knowledge of CICS administration, transaction processing, and debugging. Proficiency in RACF security administration and access control policies. Experience with z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, VSAM, and DB2. Familiarity with MQ Series, IMS, or COBOL is a plus. Understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes (ITIL framework preferred). Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Preferred Qualifications: Experience with automation tools for CICS and RACF administration. Knowledge of performance tuning and capacity planning for mainframe applications. Prior experience in banking, insurance, or financial services industries.
