Volt is immediately hiring for a Project Construction Manager in Monticello, Arkansas. In this role you will perform the role of construction manager during periods of heavy construction or light construction and demolition activitiesFind out more about this role by reading the information below, then apply to be considered. This is a first shift position As a Project Construction Manager you will:Give direction to and actively monitor construction crews so that the work is done, Safely; Per the project plan; In the correct sequence; In a cost-effective and quality mannerPerform safety and housekeeping audits.Lead construction meetings with mill support groups to work through the 2-4 week outlooks for all weekend and weekday schedules.Acts as onsite General, managing all building permit inspections and liaison between multiple trades: Mechanical, Welding, Carpentry, Electrical, Pipefitters and othersCoordination with Project Team and Engineering To attend meetings and address any follow-up identified Lead construction meetings with mill support groups to work through the 2-4 week outlooks for all weekend and weekday schedules.Lead Field Inspections with Engineering, and Contractors Learning and Following Site Specific Safety Systems that apply to work done onsite (Safe Practices, Incident Investigations, etc...)Estimated Duration-2-3 years Qualifications:Minimum 10 years of industry experience in large projects5 years of dedicated direct supervision of construction workers and contractorsProject, Construction, and Contractor ManagementIndustrial Site Safe Work Practices and Manufacturing FacilitiesKnowledge of Applicable Codes and Standards relevant to US/Oregon (i.e. Safety Codes OSHA, Building Codes (General/Fire/Electrical/Plumbing), etc.)Preferred Qualifications:EducationEngineering BackgroundFormal Training Construction Management, or a Supervisory Construction related discipline is idealHave a solid background and understanding Scheduling and Planning for Commercial or Industrial Construction Projects.Have experience and background with Industrial Construction (ideally for Sawmill)Possible other Manufacturing Experience in Similar IndustriesSAP Experience (i.e. From Work Management, and Procurement Activities)Have Experience with Fire Protection and Alarm Systems and Hot Work ManagementPay Rate: 90.00-96.00 hr. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
