The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for overseeing a wide variety of warehouse activities including the Pick, Pack, and Ship operation, location control, work order control, sales order control and inventory maintenance. In addition, the Warehouse Team Lead is included in labor planning and workload allocation, identifying performance issues & troubleshooting bottlenecks. Most importantly, the Warehouse Team Lead is a champion of Barron's culture by leading and motivating team members in a team-based environment.What makes this exciting:RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and maintain a productive work team through training and professional developmentSet the appropriate priorities for the departmentEstablish, maintain, and promote high standards of customer serviceManage and maintain adherence to both customer and company standard operating procedures to allow the accurate, timely, and safe handling of goodsMaintain effective internal control over product flow and inventoryInterpret and enforce company policies and safety procedures to teaRecommend measures to improve the quality of service and increase efficiency of departmentResponsible for all operational equipment in the department including forklifts, pallet wrapper and delivery vehiclesGuide and supervise staff, including but not limited to: hiring, training, evaluation, development, coaching and disciplinary actionsWhat you bring to our vision:REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma, GED or equivalentProven record of people managementExperience in pallet jack and forkliftEffective oral and written communication skills at all levels regarding supervision, counseling, and disciplineProficient with computersKnowledge of general business computer software and aptitude to learn new software applicationsAbility to work independently to complete assigned objectives with little supervisionWORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required stand for long periods of time, sit or walk, hand coordination, use of hands for simple grasping and handling of tools and controls, finger dexterity is required, bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, or reaching. The employee may frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and/or occasionally 50 pounds. Vision abilities required are close, distance and ability to adjust or focus. This position could have possible exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, risk of radiation and vibration. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet, hot, extreme cold and/or humid conditions.
