Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is seeking a highly skilled Principal Workforce Economist to serve as a critical leader and integrator in market intelligence, strategic analysis, and workforce strategy development. This role can be based in Seattle, WA, Everett, WA, Renton, WA, North Charleston, SC or Berkeley, MO. This position plays a pivotal role in shaping organizational strategy and driving data-driven decision-making to meet the needs of our business.The successful candidate will:Serve as a leader and integrator in Market Intelligence and Strategic AnalysisProvide insights and expertise across business units collaborating with executive and senior leadership on workforce strategies, business case results, and recommendationsBe recognized as an expert in labor market trends, practices, competitor analysis, and industry benchmarksDevelop innovative approaches for strategic analysis to address workforce challengesMaking sure you fit the guidelines as an applicant for this role is essential, please read the below carefully.Position Responsibilities:Monitor and analyze global, regional, and local labor market trends, including employment rates, talent supply-demand, and industry benchmarksAssess the impact of economic policies, trade agreements, and geopolitical factors on workforce availability and costsForecast workforce needs based on business growth, production cycles, and industry trendsDevelop predictive models to address labor shortages, turnover rates, and skill gapsAssess current workforce policies and other talent strategies against business strategic workforce plans, recommending improvements to enhance competitive positioningDesign and maintain workforce and labor cost models to drive data-driven decision-makingLeverage data analytics to identify trends, inform strategy, and evaluate workforce-related initiativesProvide thought leadership and expertise in workforce economics to inform cross-functional teamsShare insights and generalize learnings to solve new challenges across the organizationBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):5+ years of experience in strategy, business planning, or market analysis5+ years of experience partnering and strategizing HR initiatives with senior leaders5+ years of experience translating data into actionable insights and recommendations3+ years of experience with modeling data (ex: developing predictive models, regression analysis, decision trees, or other approaches)Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Advanced degree in Economics, Workforce Planning, Business Analytics, or a related fieldExperience and understanding of economic policies, market trends, and industry benchmarksExpertise in economic modeling, data analytics, and predictive analysisDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
