The OpportunityOur client, a national metal building product producer, has hired us to seek a Technical Service Manager for their Eaton, OH location. This position reports to the Director of Sales & Business Development and is responsible for providing expert technical support, troubleshooting product and installation issues, and leading a team to ensure successful project execution. Other responsibilities include:• Serving as the primary expert providing technical support for customers, contractors, and the sales team.• Traveling to job sites as required to assist with product issues or complaints.• Troubleshooting product and installation issues, providing timely and effective solutions.• Developing and delivering technical training programs for customers, contractors, and internal teams.• Leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of inside estimators with a future goal of field technicians.• Developing training materials and technical documentation, including manuals, FAQs, and installation guides.• Assisting the Estimating team with pre-construction meetings, warranty eligibility, and technical questions.• Reviewing project specifications and assisting with project submittal documentation.• Ensuring that projects comply with all relevant regulations and standards.• Providing installation detail approvals, inspections, and Weathertight Warranty submittals. Qualifications include:• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).• 5+ years of experience in metal roofing, construction, or a related industry.• In-depth understanding of metal roofing systems, materials, installation techniques, and industry standards.• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.• Strong leadership ability with experience mentoring teams.• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and conflict-resolution abilities.• Self-starter with a proactive approach to sales and customer relationships.• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD software, and project management tools.
