Accounting Supervisor

Accentuate Staffing is currently seeking an Accounting Supervisor for our client in Durham, NC. The Accounting Supervisor will manage the accounting functions of the company. This position's responsibilities include the day-to-day activities of the accounting department to include financial reporting and record-keeping, accounts reconciliation, cash management, across AR and AP, and management of the accounting team.Do not wait to apply after reading this description a high application volume is expected for this opportunity. Primary ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day oversight and hands-on involvement with all accounting functionsOversee Accounts Payable & Accounts ReceivableManage the process and third-party Tax advisors regarding the company's annual audit and tax filingsIn-depth financial analysis and creation management of financial reports, financial statements, and other required financial reportsExecute month-end closings, account reconciliations and work papers, controls, cost accounting, audits, and financial reports. reportingWork with other company leaders and executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning processLead the accounting team of two with continued professional development, one on one coaching, and effective accountabilityOther accounting and financial related tasks, projects, assignments as needed and requested Requirements/ Experience, Education and Background:Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field5+ years of experience in accountingProficiency in ExcelERP systems experienceProfessional accreditation such as CPA is a plusManufacturing teams and inventory management experience strongly desiredAbility to manage corporate accounting functions effectivelyExcellent leadership skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively with leadership among various departments and the accounting teamExhibit a high-level of professionalism, discretion and confidentialityStrong problem-solving and analytical skills and attention to detail Full Benefits Package:Medical, Dental and Vision InsuranceShort- and Long-term Disability Insurance401(k)Paid Maternity/Paternity LeavePaid Time off
