Cost Accountant

Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for an entry level Cost Accountant to join a global manufacturer in Oxford, NC. This role is responsible for managing all cost accounting activities, supporting financial reporting, overseeing inventory and receivables reconciliations, and assisting with other financial processes while ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.Ready to make your application Please do read through the description at least once before clicking on Apply. Responsibilities:1) Control key accounts in the receivable collection process2) Work with customer service & sales departments to reconcile and settle invoices in non-compliance statuses3) Assist in evaluating the impact of changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing processes on overall costs4) Help conduct physical inventories and monitor cycle count program5) Work with purchasing team to report pricing changes pro-actively6) Participate in month-end and year-end close processes7) Prepare ad hoc management financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends8) Assist with annual audits9) Suggest improvements to systems and procedures and initiate Changes10) Maintain financial security by following and developing internal controls, where necessary11) Perform other duties as assignedRequirements:1) Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field2) Two years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment3) Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures4) Advanced Microsoft computer skills.6) Knowledge and understanding of financial accounting statements7) Strong aptitude for numbers8) Strong analytical skills9) Experience with general ledger functions10) Accuracy and attention to detail11) Strong work ethic, ability to work independently, as a team member.12) Strong oral & written communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
