Location: Paterson NJ Schedule: M-F 8-4:30pm onsite daily Type: Direct Hire Start: ASAP Education: Highschool 2+ years of experience or BS Food Science with 1 year of experience Requirements: A solid understanding of testing equipment and a willingness to learn Experience in bakery Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred) A minimum of 2-5 years of Baking experience. A strong working knowledge of mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions A demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision ?????The ability to analyze and interpret information Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Bakery Applications scientist to complete bakery applications tests. Accurately document test results and observations in detailed reports, and provide initial analysis and insights to assist in product evaluation. Follow procedures for a variety of measurements including pH, TTA, Moisture and volume etc. Assist in troubleshooting formulations by identifying issues during test runs and support the Bakery Applications Scientist in diagnosing and resolving formulation challenges. Assist in preparing and organizing samples for internal and external testing Ensure all bakery testing and measurement equipment is calibrated and in good working order. Manage inventory efficiently, including scaling raw materials as needed, and maintaining a well-organized work environment. Support in various new product development initiatives. Support plant scale ups. Work cross functionally with the quality and R&D team. Uphold cleanliness and organization in the work environment, contributing to a productive and efficient workspace. #m3
