Summary: Provides program management expertise and consultation to businesses to meet department and cross-department goals. Responsible for developing, maintaining, and revising program deliverables. Oversees business programs from initiation through rollout and ongoing program management. Accountable for driving programs with medium complexity. Program Management includes managing multiple different projects within a program/portfolio that incorporate multiple larger initiatives and overseeing programs/portfolios and initiatives that are ongoing. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Independently leads multiple moderately sized programs simultaneously with varying degrees of complexities in our Risk Purchase and Underwriting (automated and traditional) flows. Responsible for managing scope, risk, business value, roadmap, program plans, operational impacts, and implementations in close alignment and partnership with our technical partners. Assists in defining objectives to be accomplished by the program team and developing the program plan. Leads the program team made up of Business Consultant (s), Business Stakeholders, and SMEs and Change Management to successfully implement programs through managing progress and removing barriers. Drives for clarity on program objectives, priorities, and measures. Takes a broad perspective to identify and recommend solutions for program needs. Develop strong relationships with business clients to manage program delivery expectations and implementation. Makes connections across teams especially our technical partners to drive identification and managing of inter-dependencies, risks, issues, and removing barriers. Responsible for gathering and delivering metrics required by the program. Uses data to make successes and challenges visible, and to drive insights and action plans to continually adjust and pursue program goals. Leveraging tools and techniques to enable end-to-end value delivery and the best ongoing rollout and ongoing experience. Builds and maintains strong depth and breadth of industry and company initiatives, products, etc to incorporate knowledge into program objectives. Understands the key business drivers as they relate to the programs. Analyze to identify the scope and nature of program deliverables; programs are intended to solve a department or business need. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in, Business, Project Management or a related field preferred OR a significant amount of directly related work experience beyond the minimum required for the position Minimum 5 years of related experience to include project initiation, runway management, facilitation of complex problems and personalities, project planning and structure buildout, testing, implementation, and post-implementation management. Ability to work with general direction to scope, plan, and manage cross-department or multi-department programs Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex assignments. Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines. Seen as a team player and is supportive of group decisions and ideas. Strong relationship skills across different levels and areas of expertise. Written and oral communication skills with the ability to build rapport within the company, field, and /or outside vendors. High degree of personal initiative and motivation. Degree with a project management emphasis and/or strong experience as a successful Program Manager Experience with project methodology through project life cycle phases Compensation Range: Pay Range - Start: $84,350.00 Pay Range - End: $156,650.00 Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
