Highights: Increase your chances of reaching the interview stage by reading the complete job description and applying promptly.Client - Financial ServicesTitle - Senior Network Engineer (Monitoring)Location - Baltimore, MD or Evansville, IN (Hybrid)Type - Long Term Contract Pay - $70-75/hr (based on experience) Qualifications:Experience with Network routing and switching, VoIP, Wide Area Networks, SD-WAN, Network Security, Cloud platformsExperience with OpsRamp or Grafana or BigPanda or Elastic or any Cloud monitoring for network3-5+ years of Network monitoring experienceExperience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) as it would be used to monitor networksAbility to track, manage, and ensure project tasks are completed in a timely mannerExperience configuring routers and switches for Netflow and SNMP data collectionPreferred certification/training: CCNA, Any Network Monitoring Certified ProfessionalAbility to prioritize multiple simultaneous projectsDay To Day Responsibilities:Enhance existing network monitoring platformsSet up initial monitoring of new connections and systemsCreate and maintain integrations between monitoring and ticketing systemsAssist other Network Services teams by detecting small problems before they lead to an outageCreate robust alerting that provides Network Engineers with information they need to solve problems more efficientlyWrite scripts that automate the correction of conditions with repeatable solutionsBuild dashboards for the Network Monitoring that enable better visualization of current network statusMonitor voice quality across various network segmentsMaintain detailed procedural documentationDetect degraded conditions across the network by checking link quality, bandwidth usage, CPU utilization, faults, logs, etc.
