This Opportunity:Remember to check your CV before applying Also, ensure you read through all the requirements related to this role.Our client is seeking a Water Resources Senior Project Manager to join their Water Resources Team within the Chantilly, VA office. This individual will work directly with the Director of Water Resources to manage team operations and projects in all the water resources services offerings. This individual will have the experience to oversee a wide variety of water resources projects of varying scales and complexities and assist with managing a talented group of project managers and design engineers. This individual will be responsible for performing QA/QC on our projects and advancing our team design processes. This individual will also be responsible for supporting contract management responsibilities, such as writing proposals, additional work authorizations, billing, business development, and general client management. This individual must have a strong foundation in design and management of stormwater management, floodplains, and dams in Virginia, with preferred additional experience in Maryland and DC. General Job Responsibilities:Review of stormwater management concept plans and construction documentsReview of H&H models for floodplain and dam modelingReview of technical reports and permit applicationsQA / QC of construction documents, permit applications, certifications, and other project deliverablesResearch regulatory codes, manuals, and standardsProject and client managementDevelopment of schedules and workplansManage multiple projects and deadlinesManaging multiple team membersCoordination with internal and external teamsMeet and coordinate with regulators to address comments and facilitate approvalLead construction administrationContract management (proposal, AWAs, billing, negotiation)Perform other duties as requiredRequired Qualifications:A minimum of 7-10+ years of related professional experienceBachelor's degree in civil engineering, or similar degreeProfessional Engineer license (VA) with ability to obtain in other states as requiredPrevious experience with managing teams of multiple engineersSelf-motivated individual that can handle multiple projects & responsibilities while helping the firm's water resources practice grow and developAbility to adapt to varying regulatory standards among many jurisdictions.Strong communication, writing, and organizational skillsStrong quality control skills and attention to detailExpert mathematical/analytical skillsProficiency with H & H modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HEC-1, HY-8, FlowmasterPreferred Qualifications:Proficiency with ArcMap, or similarProficiency with AutoCAD
