This includes the preparation, installation, programming, and repair of instrumentation, travel may be required after 1 yr. of experience. This will include, training of on-site personnel, and remote technical support. When not traveling, the individual will be responsible for equipment repair, calibration, and test at our Cuddy, PA facility. Basic knowledge of PLCs, controls, and field devices is required. as well as experience working with instrumentation sensors. The successful candidate will demonstrate a SAFETY-FIRST mentality and the discipline and focus to contribute with little direct supervision and/or guidance. Essential Functions:Travel to jobsites across the US for installation and troubleshooting of field instrumentationRun calibration tests of pressure transducers, flow meters, and other field instrumentsReplace defective instruments on heavy equipment, using hand toolsConsult with, advise, and train operatorsComplete daily reports of activitiesEducation & Training:High School Diploma or GEDExperience:Working with instrumentation sensors such as transducers, flow meters, encoders, and level sensors.Construction Industry experience is preferredExperience working with low and medium voltage equipmentExperience servicing electronic equipment in the fieldExperience working with all varieties of hand tools and select power toolsKnowledge and Abilities:Clear understanding of instrumentation signals such 4-20mA loopsAbility to read and understand wiring schematicsAbility to absorb and retain new information and techniques on a regular basisMS Word, Excel and Outlook Understands equipment operating systems and instrumentation (mechanical and hydraulic)Physical Requirements:Reaching high and low, stooping, and bending continuallyLifting/carrying/moving up to 100 pounds continuallyAble to travel per the Nicholson travel policyRequires a high degree of concentration in a busy and noisy construction environmentRequires working in all types of weatherMental Requirements:Converse effectively using both verbal and written communication.Make decisions and assume accountabilityConcentrate on tasksDemonstrate ability to manage stress and emotions as related to the workplaceAttention to detailIdentify and resolve conflictAssess safety and riskApply promptly!
