The Supervisor is responsible for direct service to the target populations for the identified program, completing program documentation as necessary and tracking program milestones and outcomes. The Supervisor will work in accordance with OMH, DSS and FSL parameters. The Supervisor will document all client interactions, act as part of an interdisciplinary team as necessary, meet youth's/family's individual needs and be well informed about community resources. The Supervisor will participate in agency wide System of Care and other collaborative projects both within FSL and in partnership with entities outside of the agency. Additionally, the Supervisor will collaborate with the Program Director to assist with additional needs of the program. Travel is required.We offer a generous benefits package including the following:Health and Dental InsuranceVision InsuranceFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Retirement Savings Plan with a 5% employer contributionLife and AD&D InsuranceGenerous PTO (paid time off)Up to 11 paid HolidaysPaid Sick LeaveStudent Tuition Remission ProgramEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Company paid Short-Term and Long-Term DisabilityEmployee Discounts and more!RESPONSIBILITIESThe Supervisor will conduct linkage, coordination, advocacy and mentoring.Focus services on goal achievement surrounding the factors that contributed to the family's involvement with child protective services.The Supervisor will work with clients in a culturally and linguistically responsive manner.Utilize Motivational Interviewing to facilitate change.Carry a caseload of 11 families that are visited weekly.Assign cases.Utilize the FAST assessment to aid in goals development and assist family in goal achievement.Provide parenting education.Help parents satisfy court mandates.Increase family self-sufficiency to avoid placement or aid in return of childrenCommunicate all crisis situations to the Program Coordinator and skill builder (as applicable).The Supervisor will conduct home visits throughout Suffolk County.Complete prompt and accurate documentation.Assist with training new staff.Provide peer mentorship for staff who are having task-oriented challenges.Complete chart audits to ensure timely and accurate submission of documents.Provide outreach to potential in-service trainers for staff development opportunities and develop and implement peer presentations at staff meetings.Review and approve travel expenses.All other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience working with families in a related capacity, or a bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience required.The ability to work with diverse populations as well as engage both youth and parents in service delivery is required.Knowledge of community resources required.Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office required.Strong organizational, time management and leadership skills required.Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills required.Must possess the ability to demonstrate sound judgement, be reliable and flexible, attention to detail, and able multitask.Valid and clean NYS Driver's License required. Owns car that is properly insured, registered and maintained to drive from worksite to worksite.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThis position requires sitting for long periods of time at a computer and travelling to conduct home visits.Compensation details: 53000-53000 Yearly SalaryPI22aa044abf02-35216-36680524
