A community services organization in New York City is actively seeking a new Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team at one of their methadone clinics in Manhattan. In this role, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will be responsible for dispensing medication to patients with opioid use disorder and actively participating with the interdisciplinary treatment team in the provision of medical and clinical services. Find out more about this role by reading the information below, then apply to be considered.About the Opportunity:Start Date: ASAPAssignment Length: On goingSchedule: Mondays-FridaysHours: 6:15a - 1:30pPatient Population: Adults (18+ year olds)EMR: TenEleven ECRResponsibilities:The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will:Dispense and administers prescribed medication; maintains accountability, adequate record keeping, and documentationAssess and verification of last methadone dose for patients returning from the hospital, detox, etc.Carry out MD/PA orders and assist during crisis, emergencies, and other proceduresWork collaboratively with Physician, Director, and other staff as part of the treatment teamParticipate in clinic meetings and interdisciplinary case conferences with clinical staffAssist in coordination of medication deliveries for appropriate patients, as indicatedAssess patients and provide patient care within scope of practice.Perform other duties, as neededQualifications:6 months of experience in a Substance Abuse Services environmentAssociate's and/or Bachelor's DegreeNYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skillsDesired Skills:Experience working in a Methadone clinic and/or similar setting
