Job Title: Master Service TechnicianLocation: Within 2 hours of a major airport in VA, PA, or NC.Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4:30 PMThis role involves extensive region wide travel. Monday-Friday travel is typical.The hourly pay range for this role is $29.42 - $61.05. The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. For more information visit: .Job Overview:The Master Service Technician - Compression Technologies and Services - serves customers by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all makes of rotary screw and reciprocating and/or Centac and ECC air compressors, along with additional centrifugal compressor product lines including Centac, Turbo Air models, and large reciprocating air compressors along with additional compressed air system components. You will use precision measuring tools for diagnostic troubleshooting of compressed air equipment. In addition, you need to have knowledge of all operations and parts manuals associated with all equipment.Responsibilities:In addition to performing preventative maintenance on Ingersoll Rand compressed air equipment, our service techs will interact with customers to address existing and unanticipated equipment concerns. Collaborate with Service Coordinator on ordering and gathering parts and supplies necessary to complete installations and repairs.Ensure the correct installation, maintenance, and field repair of the equipment manufactured and sold by Ingersoll Rand at the purchaser's location.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the field installation and repair requirements of this equipment.Provide technical advice and be able to train customers, potential customers, field salesmen, and field service trainees.Diagnose problems and recommend corrective action in this unsupervised environment and submit clear, accurate records and/or oral reports to the manufacturing facility. Maintain a high degree of integrity in handling business affairs.Maintain proper written and oral communication skills to transfer information related to service work in a concise and logical manner.Submit detailed technical reports on each service call in legible fashion, suitable for billing customers.Submit accurate, detailed & timely expense account records along with timecards on a weekly basis. Maintain good financial records and practices to manage company business matters, credit cards, and if required, a company car.Requirements:Desired applicants will have 3 years+ of experience in troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems. This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling. It requires employees to regularly lift and or move weight limits in line with the safety policy.Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 5 years, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.High school diploma or equivalent required. Core Competencies:Able to read wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipment.Advanced network systems installations (IMMC/ASC, X Series Automation).Basic vibration troubleshooting.Basic Air Quality (system compressor/dryer - air treatment).Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and other basic computer usage. Working proficiency with handheld computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad) and network bases.Maintain proper business travel practices in a cost-efficient manner.PreferencesExperience on compressed air systems/centrifugal technologies/solid controls background is a plus. While not required, those knowledgeable in the service, diagnosis, and startup of both rotary and centrifugal air compressors, including dryers, cooling towers, and filtration systems are encouraged to apply.EPA 608 /F-GAS 303/2008/CE/ISHRAE Certification Preferred Refrigeration experience/certification a plus.Desired degree program in Electrical/Electronic Technology or HVAC with basic knowledge of some or all of the following: AC/DC circuits, wiring diagrams/schematics, motors/controls, PLCs, HVAC electricity, controls, refrigeration systems and/or refrigerant certification. Military experience and/or sufficient mechanical working experience is a plus. Veterans/Active-Duty Military are encouraged to apply. Monday-Friday travel is typical.A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided.Pay Range: Starting pay will range between $36.00- $46.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
