The RN Pre-op/PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN Pre-op/PACU supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.Required Skills:Graduate of an accredited school of nursingCurrent NJ Registered Nurse LicenseCurrent CPR, ACLS, PALS required.Minimum 2 years of experience in PreOp/PACU, Critical Care ED or Tele. Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative.Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patientUnderstands principles of aseptic technique and their implementationExcellent teaching skillsBasic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideologyMust be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.
