Dental Hygienist

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing thorough assessments, and ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control procedures, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and gather medical histories. Perform dental cleanings and scaling procedures using appropriate aseptic techniques. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized care recommendations. Assist in the identification of periodontal disease and other oral health issues. Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture diagnostic images as needed. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, including medical coding and documentation. Monitor vital signs and ensure patient comfort during procedures. Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff. Requirements Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice. Proficiency in dental terminology and understanding of infection control practices. Experience with medical imaging equipment is preferred. Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and communication. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
