A janitorial supply company located in Woodside, NY (4 blocks from M and R train) is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager.Have you got what it takes to succeed The following information should be read carefully by all candidates.Job Description:The Warehouse Manager (WHM) is responsible for creating a healthy working culture and leading, training, and mentoring the warehouse employees with a hands-on, positive proactive approach. The WHM will report directly to the two principals of the company.Job Functions:Oversee flexible hours, including the opening and closing of the warehouse.Ensure industrial equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) is operational and safe to use.Confirm with HR on a weekly basis regarding warehouse health, safety, security, proper dress-wear, and hygiene by working with the team.Check trucks daily to ensure clean, safe working conditions and alert ownership or call the truck rental company for service inspection, repairs, updated registrations, loaners, etc.Receive early morning deliveries, confirming that morning pick tickets are in for that day's routes.Manage receiving, dispatching, and storage of products in the Sterling Sanitary Supply warehouse.Pick any backorders before drivers leave for the day to complete pick tickets.Inspect picked routes and ensure products (SKU and quantity) match the pick tickets.Oversee receiving and proper stocking and rotation of inventory (i.e., oldest products to front).Work with the team to oversee customer walk-ins.Establish minimum/maximum inventory levels and control inventory by working with the Director of Purchasing to oversee daily cycle counting of products.Check in with drivers throughout the day to monitor their routes and report any delivery issues to management.Manage driver call-outs and adjust routes as needed.Assist with managing drivers' and warehouse employees' schedules and time off.Coordinate, maintain, and document all warehouse activities while enforcing safe operational policies and procedures.Other Skills:Attention to detailSupervisory and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of warehouse software packagesMS Office proficiencyAbility to input, retrieve, and analyze dataUse of Forklift/Hi-lo preferredValid driver's licenseJob Type: Full-timePay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingHealth insurancePaid time offSchedule:Monday to FridayWork Location: In person#J-18808-Ljbffr
