This position is based in Chicago, IL, with the option of working hybrid (2 days in office required) and will be focused on people management, project design, and project management. Under the guidance of the Structural Department Manager, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of high visibility projects.Duties Will Consist Of The FollowingStaff management of three to four staff and mentoring for all structural group staffCoordinates tasks and project schedules Communicates with clients regarding project issues, schedules, and budgets Acts as Project Manager on structural projects and structural lead on multi-disciplinary projectsAssists with proposal production and implementing marketing initiativesMay be responsible for teaching educational courses May serve as the discipline lead responsible for all facets of the task or discipline of the project Performs detailed technical peer reviews Responsible for maintaining technical knowledge through completion of various training initiatives; attending seminars, reviewing professional publications, attending in-house systems/management training Verifying that quality standards and project deadlines are metMaintaining client satisfactionOversight of project safety Health and Safety PlanDirect coordination with the client's Project RepresentativesProviding regular status reports to Structural Department ManagerPROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS Master's Degree in Structural EngineeringIllinois Professional Engineer (PE) license and Structural Engineer (S. E.) 10 + years of related experience Experience with Illinois bridge design and maintenance policies and proceduresComplex bridge analysis and design using finite element softwareProject Management and structural lead experience on past projectsPossess excellent client skills and ability to enhance and develop solid client relationshipsInvolvement with industry and professional organizationsAbility to work independently and within a team setting to support and lead projects and assignments Ability to assist in developing strategic business, performing client development activities and improving office operations proceduresPossess strong written and verbal communication skills Possess a valid driver's licenseExcellent English language skills, written and verbalStrong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel) etc., and familiarity and experience with computer-aided bridge design and analysis tools, including finite element and bridge load rating tools.COMPENSATION The approximate compensation range for this position is $131,040 to $170,560. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.#J-18808-Ljbffr
