Director of Hackley Fund / Annual GivingThe Director of the Hackley Fund is responsible for the strategic planning, successful management and execution of a comprehensive annual giving program. This includes developing strategies, soliciting gifts, and managing volunteers to achieve Hackley's annual giving goals. The Director will recruit and work with volunteers and Advancement staff, developing a plan to build upon an already strong program, increasing support and participation rates from parents, alumni, parents of alumni, and grandparents.Find out more about the daily tasks, overall responsibilities, and required experience for this opportunity by scrolling down now.Reporting Structure:This position reports to the Director of Advancement and supervises the Hackley Fund Manager.Responsibilities include:Execute and manage creative annual giving strategies, communications, and solicitationsIdentify, recruit, train and manage volunteers who will reach out to their peers to support the Hackley FundManage a portfolio of top Hackley Fund donors, including cultivation, solicitation, and stewardshipCoordinate and work closely with the Director of Alumni Engagement in connection with reunion class giftsPartner with the Director of Communications to heighten the visibility of the Hackley Fund and all it helps to make possibleWork with the Database Administrator to ensure accurate data management, analytics, and reportingCreate and execute special events and creative marketing approaches in support of annual goalsCollaborate with the Director of Advancement Services in connection with maintaining a stewardship program for Hackley Fund donors and volunteersProduce each year's Annual Report on PhilanthropyAn ability to work/travel some nights and weekends as requiredOther assignments as neededSkills and Abilities:Knowledgeable of current best practices in annual giving and fundraising, direct marketing, and volunteer management programs and practices used in the independent school environmentOutstanding oral and written communication skillsExceptional attention to detailRaiser's Edge database experience preferredStrong analytical, organizational, time management and customer service skillsStrong initiative, excellent follow up and persistenceA willingness to work creatively and collegially with the advancement team, volunteers, and employees, and the ability to develop and nurture an outstanding volunteer structureThe ability and the desire to use data to inform strategic thinkingAn entrepreneurial and self-motivated goal-oriented mindset that includes a good sense of humorA genuine interest in others and their interests and concerns and the ability to build strong relationshipsEducation and Experience:Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) requiredMinimum of 3-5 years prior professional development experience, preferably in annual or reunion givingDemonstrated success in coordinating an annual giving programExperience in solicitation and volunteer managementSalary and Benefits: The salary range for this 12-month administrative position is $90,000 - $125,000.
