Assistant Professor in Landscape ArchitectureThe Department of Landscape Architecture and Regional & Community Planning (LARCP) in the College of Architecture, Planning & Design (APDesign) at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS, is seeking qualified candidates to teach design studios and courses in the department related to socio-ecological systems as a tenure-track Assistant Professor. We're specifically seeking candidates with expertise in GIS, GeoDesign, and spatial analysis.Do not pass up this chance, apply quickly if your experience and skills match what is in the following description.The successful candidate will:Deliver creative and effective teaching in courses related to socio-ecological systems and GIS.Engage in significant, peer-reviewed research, scholarship, and/or creative activities.Supervise independent graduate research.Participate in university and professional service.Contribute to an environment that fosters diversity and collegiality.What You'll Need to Succeed:Master's degree in landscape architecture or a closely allied field. Candidate must have at least one degree in landscape architecture.Evidence of ability to deliver inspired teaching.Evidence of or potential for research, scholarship, and/or creative activity with a focused agenda.Professional, pedagogical, or scholarly experience in socio-ecological systems and GIS.Preferred Qualifications:Ph.D. (or ABD) in landscape architecture or closely allied field.Professional licensure.Ability to work with a wide range of student interests and academic levels.Ability to help students develop career-ready professional skills.Ability to teach studios, seminars, and lecture classes.#J-18808-Ljbffr
