This team collaborates with start-ups, mid-sized firms, and global financial leaders, renowned for its excellence in investment fund services and recognized in top industry publications.Core Responsibilities: Offer sophisticated advice to clients on regulatory and compliance matters affecting registered investment companies. Guide clients on adhering to federal regulations, particularly under the Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act, and assist with complex fund documentation. Draft, review, and refine disclosures, agreements, and various legal documents for investment products like mutual funds, ETFs, and other financial offerings. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless client service across varied investment structures and transactions. Keep pace with financial sector developments, helping clients adapt to new regulations and take advantage of market opportunities. Ideal Candidate Qualifications: Juris Doctorate from a prestigious law school with a history of academic achievement. Active California Bar Admission. 3-6 years of direct experience advising registered investment companies. In-depth understanding of the Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act. Knowledge of exchange-traded funds (ETFs), variable insurance products, business development companies, investment advisers, or commodities is highly regarded. Strong preference for individuals with large law firm experience, in-house experience, or a regulatory background.
