Comunilife's Life is Precious(LIP) program is expanding to Poughkeepsie. We are looking Social Workers with experience with youth and crisis management for our expansion into Poughkeepsie, New York. The Life is Precious™ program is a Suicide Prevention program for at-risk Latina teens in Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens and Manhattan and now expanding into Poughkeepsie and Yonkers. The only program of its kind in the country, Life is Precious™ provides services that relate directly to the risk factors associated with suicide ideation and attempt. This position is eligible for Comunilife's generous benefit and paid time off package.Find out more about this role by reading the information below, then apply to be considered.Responsibilities:Assume responsibility for day-to-day operations the LIP program site.Provide support to program staffSupervise all program activities and scheduling to be implemented by Case Managers and Creative Art Therapist consultantsEnsure that all progress notes are entered into AWARDS data system Provide Case Management Services to participants Coordinates participant intakes and family engagementsTriage referrals and patient assignments to staffMeet with the Sr. Assistant Vice President of LIP to discuss accomplishments and administrative mattersEnsures that all program participants are receiving mental health servicesEnsures that the staff receives the necessary support regarding the management of grief while maintaining professional focusEnsures staff receive and participate in multi-cultural, clinical and other professional trainingsMonitors quality of clinical services and maximize number of individuals servedMaintains high level of group therapyTracks outcome studiesEnsures that patient satisfaction surveys are completed at time of terminationCollaborates with various community agencies, public officials, and organizationsRepresents Life is Precious™ with community providers (i.e. schools, churches and community centers)Plan, organize and supervise all program and family oriented activitiesManages volunteers/tutorsDocument community activities, outings and development involving families Qualifications:Master's Degree in Social Work or Psychology is required;Three (3) to five (5) years of clinical supervisory and administrative experience. Clinical experience working with children, adolescents and adults.
