Our employees are our most valuable asset.Is this the next step in your career Find out if you are the right candidate by reading through the complete overview below.Job DescriptionThe Senior Paralegal is responsible for providing paralegal support to one or more attorneys who advise and support the Company's asset management business, and will primarily support the Company's ETFs, closed-end funds, and 529 Plan, while providing secondary support to the Company's open-end funds.Job Duties:Prepare draft meeting minutes, notices, agenda, executive summaries, resolutions, unanimous written consents, D&O questionnaires and other memoranda.Coordinate with business personnel and fund counsel on, and assist with the drafting, review and assembly of, regulatory fund filings such as registration statements and exhibits, disclosure documents and other filings relating to new fund launches and proxy statements.Assist in the preparation, assembly and dissemination of supplements and updates to 529 Plan program disclosure statements and other documents.Assist in the preparation, assembly and dissemination of materials for Board of Directors meetings, including assembling and obtaining applicable reports for electronic board books.Assist in the preparation, assembly and dissemination of materials for shareholder meetings, including meeting script and minute drafting.Coordinate with business personnel on, and assist with the drafting and review of, annual and semi-annual financial statements and other regulatory reporting.Maintain and adhere to legal filing calendars and recurring board agendas; maintain director and officer biographies.Assist with the drafting, review and coordination and execution of fund agreements and other legal documents.Ideal Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.Paralegal certificate from ABA-approved paralegal school preferred.Minimum 6-8 years of paralegal experience.Prior Investment Company Act of 1940 experience at an asset manager, other third-party administrator or law firm preferred.Excellent communication skills (oral and written).Excellent drafting skills.Demonstrated high level of integrity and professionalism.Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Capable of independently producing high quality routine paralegal work with minimal supervision.Ability to effectively communicate status of projects to appropriate persons in a timely manner.Highly motivated with a keen attention to detail.Experience with Diligent Board books or another electronic board book portal a plus.Experience with Wdesk or other EDGAR/Section 16 filing software a plus.The starting salary range is $90,000 to $110,000.The starting salary offer will vary based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
