If so, we'd love to hear from you!Director of HRWe are seeking a Director of HR to join the tarte team and report directly to the President. The ideal candidate must be a strategic, empathetic and collaborative HR Generalist with excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.This position is required to be in our NYC office Mon - Thur (4 days/week).Responsibilities:Serve as the business partner and primary point of contact for the day-to-day questions, concerns & issues that arise from employees.Demonstrate HR knowledge through informed decision-making, while appropriately maintaining confidentiality on sensitive matters.Must be strategic as well as tactical as this is a "hands on" position which requires interaction & visibility with all levels of the organization.Talent management & recruiting: communicate effectively with employees and/or candidates for a seamless talent acquisition experience for internal & external parties alike; Identify trends and recommend proactive solutions for attracting & retaining the best talent.Performance management: oversee the performance review process to ensure fair & consistent reviews; oversee discipline process and performance improvement plans, including coaching & employee terminations.Compensation & benefits: provide interpretation of HR policies, practices and procedures to employees.HR labor law compliance & work safety: lead & own all investigations and partner with Legal for support. Coach and counsel employees regarding employee & labor relations issues.Employee relations: Develop & maintain positive relationships with employees. Support employees with a consistently respectful, trustworthy & open-minded attitude. Facilitate employee life cycle, from onboarding to offboarding.Corporate communications: draft all internal HR communications in partnership with senior leadership, marketing & legal.Learning, training & development: drive growth & development across teams by providing constructive & respectful feedback to employees and team members. Partner with managers and above to build a career path for employees, identifying opportunities for training, new skill acquisition & advancement.Team management: lead & coach a team of HR professionals.Organizational effectiveness/Office management: oversee and assist in the coordination of internal companywide events.Transformation & change management: embrace & initiate change to strengthen organization and drive success; evaluate culture and methodologies to distinguish what to preserve & what to change; prepare reports and analytics on key HR metrics.Ability to collaborate with senior management to create cohesive company policies and procedures that are in alignment with company goals and industry best practices.Requirements:8+ years of HR experience - True Generalist & HR Business Partner experience with exposure to all core functions within the discipline and with increasing scope.Leadership experience in managing a team is required.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across all departments.Works independently & takes initiative to problem solve.
