As a result, the employees typically gain a wide variety of experience without any artificial restrictions on the speed of career progression.Job descriptionA Technical Business Analyst is required to work within and, at times, lead teamsdeveloping and delivering transformational change projects on behalf of majorinvestment banks and other top tier financial services companies.During client engagements, the successful candidate will usually work as a part of small team of our consultants and perform activities such as requirementsgathering and analysis, technical evaluations and specifications, functional analysis and testing.With experience, and a greater understanding of the comapny's engagement model, the individual will have the opportunity to lead project teams, managing stakeholder relationships and ensuring timely delivery of workWithin pre-sales, the role involves working with Client Relationship Managers toexplore clients' requirements and qualify them sufficiently to develop compellingproposals for the services we provide.Through investment in research, training and development, the opportunity alsoexists to develop specific areas of deep expertise for which the successful candidate will become recognised as the company expert, proactively supporting sales strategy and activities.Skills and QualitiesIn order to maintain our high standards and meet the demanding expectationsof our clients, the following skills and qualities are considered indispensable:ï‚· Strong written and verbal communication skills, including authoring of businessdocuments and presentations, running workshops and stakeholder managementï‚· Experience in a software development environmentï‚· The ability to conduct careful, structured analysis on complex problems orrequirements in order to support defensible conclusions and solutions.ï‚· A detailed and comprehensive approach to gathering of requirements in order toform coherent specifications and similar materialï‚· A thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle and the role ofthe Business Analyst within itï‚· Experience in delivering logical and comprehensive test strategies and clear,concise test casesï‚· 5+ years' experience working in the investment banking industry, preferably with one or more areas of specialismï‚· 3+ years' experience working (and working knowledge of) python and/or javaï‚· A practical knowledge of FRTB (Fundamental Review of Trading Book)ï‚· A practical knowledge of trade lifecycle and risk processesï‚· A good knowledge of one or more financial product sets including market structure, pricing methodologies and risk characteristicsIt would be an advantage to demonstrate:ï‚· Some development experience and / or knowledge of SQLï‚· Some experience of business process modelling and optimisation and itsdocumentationï‚· The ability to independently plan, organise and manage one's own work andprovide guidance and oversight for that of others'ï‚· Hands-on experience with any programming, querying or scripting languagesï‚· Understanding of market or credit risk and associated regulationsï‚· Ability to analyse regulatory requirements and produce formal specificationsAbove all, the successful candidate will be proactive, organised and focussed strongly on delivering results. They will remain diligent, cool-headed and professional at all times.ExperienceThe successful candidate will have a track record of working within a team conducting and delivering high-quality analysis work in challenging environments.
