Vice President, Partnership Tax

Who You Are:All potential candidates should read through the following details of this job with care before making an application.The Vice President, Partnership Tax, will be responsible for assisting with partnership tax matters, including preparation and review of quarterly estimated tax payments, tax returns, and tax workpapers. This person will also collaborate with other members of the Galaxy Tax and Finance teams, as well as external advisors, and report to the Head of Tax.What You'll Do:Assist with managing partnership tax compliance matters for Galaxy's asset management funds, as well as other Galaxy partnership entities, working closely with other members of the Tax and Finance teams, as well as outside tax advisors and service providersManage day-to-day operational tasks for partnerships tax matters, including but not limited to reviewing and responding to notices, making tax payments, and updating/maintaining organized tax files and workpapersAssist with ad hoc projects and perform analysis in connection with business directives and initiatives as the digital asset and blockchain landscape evolvesWhat We're Looking For:5+ years of progressive partnership tax experience in a Big 4 and/or private industry settingExperience in asset/investment management, including fund-of-fund investments, financial services/technology, and/or banking/capital marketsFirm understanding of partnership tax laws and principles, as well as familiarity with international and corporate tax considerations within a fund contextBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similarCPA license required, Master's in Taxation a plusProficiency in Microsoft ExcelAbility to work independently, but within a team-oriented, collaborative environmentExcellent communication and critical thinking skillsBonus Points:Experience working with "Up-C" structuresExperience with digital assets and blockchain investmentsExperience with automating tax processesWhat We Offer:Competitive base salary, bonus, and equity compensationFlexible Time Off (i.e. unlimited paid vacation days)Company paid Holidays (11)Company paid sick leaveCompany-paid health and protective benefits for employees, partners, and other dependents3% 401(k) company contributionGenerous paid Parental LeaveFree virtual coaching and counseling sessions through GingerOpportunities to learn about the Crypto industryFree daily snacks in-officeSmart, entrepreneurial, and fun colleaguesEmployee Resource GroupsApply now and join us on our mission to engineer a new economic paradigm.#J-18808-Ljbffr
