Location: Boston, MassachusettsPlease ensure you read the below overview and requirements for this employment opportunity completely.Bureau ChiefThe Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell is looking for a dedicated, motivated, and experienced attorney to lead the Health Care & Fair Competition Bureau as the Bureau's Chief. The Health Care & Fair Competition Bureau uses civil and criminal investigation, litigation, and policy tools to protect healthcare consumers, create a more fair and competitive economy, ensure integrity in the non-profit sector, and address fraud in our health care and government contracting systems.Primary Duties: The Bureau Chief is responsible for advising the Attorney General on carrying out the statutory duties of each Division and overseeing related civil and criminal investigations and litigation on behalf of the Commonwealth. Primary responsibilities of the Bureau Chief include:Management of five Division ChiefsSupervision of the Bureau's cases and work productAdministration of each Division's operating budgetPublic outreach and press strategyRegularly briefing the Attorney General and her executive staff on the Bureau's workIn coordination with the First Assistant Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General, the Bureau Chief reviews and approves the use and issuance of the Bureau's criminal and civil investigative process, including: grand jury subpoenas, search warrants, civil investigative demands, civil and criminal complaints, settlement agreements, and major briefs filed before state regulators and in state and federal courts. The Bureau Chief is responsible for coordinating legislative and policy initiatives on behalf of each of the Divisions and is expected to take an active role in significant or sensitive matters, as necessary.Position Type: Full-Time/Exempt. The successful candidate will have management experience and the ability to demonstrate effective communication, writing, legal-analytical, negotiation, oral advocacy skills, sound judgment, and the ability to effectively represent the Office before state and federal courts, internal and external stakeholders, and other officials.
